About G-FORCE
Helmets
G-FORCE
Racing Gear has established a significant market share
in US auto racing by offering a high quality competition
racing helmet at a reasonable price. G-FORCE racing
helmets offer everything from open face style to the top
of the line aero breath deflector models.
G-FORCE
Racing Gear builds the best helmet at an affordable
price. Check out how our quality and features blow the
competition away.
Snell
SA2000-M2000:
Our
customers and race drivers invariably ask the same
question – what is the difference between helmet
certification. All Snell tests for these specifications
include multiple impact tests at 20 degrees, 78degrees
(dry and wet) and 120 degrees. The Snell M2000
specification is the base for the specs. The SA2000 is
used primarily for auto racing – adds not only the
thicker shield, but also flame retardant paint, trim,
retention strap and interior. The SnellSA2000 helmet
also meets an additional rollbar impact test.
Composite Z38
lightweight shell:
Made from a
Kevlar/fibreglass composite with a specially designed
resign. This means less weight on your shoulders and
less energy spent holding your head up.
Reinforced
mounting points:
G-FORCE
Racing Gear was the first to have special reinforced
mounting points for a helmet restraint built into the
helmet.
Mirror paint
finish:
The standard
of quality that outshines all of our competitors. Every
helmet receives multiple coats of paint and clearcoat.
Each coat is hand sanded with the top coat specifically
buffed to produce a show car finish. Our extra attention
to this detail gives our customers a helmet that
withstands the punishment only a race environment can
produce.
Hi tech G78
impact liner:
Provides
superior impact resistance compared to the liners used
by our competitors.
G-Flow
ventilation:
Our helmets
have a well engineered ventilation system for maximum
driver comfort. Together with Fresh Air Systems
Technologies® the Force Air helmet for excellent air
flow right out of the box.
Room for
eyeglasses:
Our research
and development team designed eyeports to accept glasses
in our new comfort fit system. No more will you have to
push or bend wire frame glasses on your face or lose
skin trying to fit them under the helmet. Our system
works every time for the wearer.
CoolTec Fire
Retardent interior:
This
material used in our SA series helmets provides
unequalled protection for the driver. CoolTec is a new
flame retardant material that is soft and hypoallergenic
to the skin and outperforms most other products.
Optically
correct moulded shield with scratch resistant S231
coating:
A specially
designed mirror polished mould produces race shields
that are optically correct and free of distortion. Most
manufacturers cut their shields from a sheet and lay it
on a form in an oven. Have you ever bent a sheet of
plastic and noticed how it distorts your view? G-FORCE
Racing Gear designed and built a special mould so you
have a clear view on the track. All our shields are
coated with a special resistant coating.
Thick Shield
Protection:
G-FORCE
Racing Gear was the first manufacturer to include at no
extra cost the same thick shield required on Snell SA
rated rated helmets on all of our Shell M rated helmets.
The competition uses thinner shields on their M rated
helmets.
SpeedFit
shield:
G-FORCE
Racing Gear is the first manufacturer to develop the
SpeedFit shield for Snell SA rated auto racing helmets.
This new design allows the shield to be changed in a
matter of seconds and without the use of any tool.
Breath
deflector:
G-FORCE Racing Gear has engineered a unique breath
deflector for our helmets. It will keep your shield fog
free and is easily removed for cleaning. This will give
you a clear view, even on humid days and evenings. Most
helmet manufacturers sell a breath deflector as an
expensive option while others do not offer one. It is
standard on our range of full face helmets.
SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System
..... click here
The
research and development team at G-FORCE Racing Gear
spent over two years designing the SRS-1. The design
parameters were driver safety and comfort, ease of use,
trouble free entry to and from race car, performance
comparable to other competing devices and a price that
would not break the bank. The end result is that the
G-FORCE R&D team met or exceeded all of these
parameters. The SRS-1 was also designed as a complete
system to be used in concert with an approved helmet.
All approved helmets come with attachment points for the
SRS-1 and have to meet Snell or SF1 certification with
the attachment points manufactured into the helmet. They
must pass a test that helps ensure the attachment points
minimum integrity. This is a problem with other add on
type devices.
The G-FORCE
SRS-1 helmet restraint device consists of a cable that
attaches to the helmet. This cable attachment allows the
driver with freedom of movement to turn their head from
side to side. Another benefit to this freedom of
movement is that under braking, it helps hold your head
up for less driver fatigue. The cable is attached to the
restraint strap.
The restraint
strap will have a specific length for each driver and
may possibly be different for each race car the driver
uses. The restraint straps are available in half inch
increments and additional restraint straps maybe
purchased separately.
The reaction
rod is attached to the other end of the restraint strap.
It is encased in a fire retardant material that helps
centre the rod under the seatbelts behind the driver’s
head. Based on how the seatbelts are configured and what
type of driver’s seat is selected, the reaction rod is
available in one inch increments 9 to 13 inches.
The SRS-1 kit
will come with a 12inch reaction rod and Velcro strap
that is used to perform a measure to determine what
length restraint strap is required. Read the
instructions with the SRS-1 and determine which parts
are needed. Return the enclosed form and any parts that
need to be exchanged to G-FORCE Racing Gear and the
correct parts will be sent to you to complete your
SRS-1.
The G-FORCE
Racing Gear SRS-1 has been sled tested at Delphi, Wayne
State University and other labs. Many experts today
agree that over 4000 Newtons or force pulling on the
neck may cause injury. The results from Wayne University
used a stock car type seating arrangement with no side
supports for the head and rib supports. The test was a
50G pulse at the driver’s seat. This may not sound like
much, but it is akin to hitting a concrete wall and
stopping with a 50G impact. This is a lot of force. The
object of this test is to stay under 4120 Newtons of
force (FzN). For
